Learning Support Assistant

About the role

Westview International Language School is hiring a Learning Support Assistant in its on-site department in 6th of October City. The role helps students with diverse learning needs thrive in an inclusive educational environment, working closely with teachers and support staff so every student receives the assistance they need to succeed.

Key responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering tailored educational programs for students with varying learning abilities.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support so students can engage with lesson content and improve their learning outcomes.
• Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adaptations to curriculum resources.
• Monitor and report on student progress and involvement, giving teachers useful input for assessments.
• Encourage students' social interactions and help them develop interpersonal skills.
• Contribute to keeping the classroom engaging, organised and safe.
• Take part in ongoing training and professional development.

Required profile

• Qualifications in Education, Special Education or Child Development.
• Experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar educational role is preferred.
• Understanding and empathy for students with diverse learning needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with educators, parents and students.
• Ability to adapt to different learning environments and manage varied responsibilities.
• Commitment to an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere.
