Legal Counsel

About the role

Bel Group is seeking a proactive Legal Counsel to support its operations across Egypt and the wider region. You will provide comprehensive legal guidance, ensure regulatory compliance, and help mitigate commercial risks for a leading agri‑food company.

Key responsibilities

• Handle corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters, including litigation management and coordination with external counsel.
• Conduct legal research and monitor changes in legislation to maintain continuous compliance.
• Oversee factory operations related to labor relations, license renewals, and day‑to‑day regulatory compliance.
• Provide corporate secretarial services: draft board resolutions, manage appointments/dismissals of directors, and handle corporate license amendments.
• Draft, negotiate, and review commercial agreements and other transactional documents.
• Improve standard templates, agreements, and legal processes to increase efficiency and support business growth.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks across Egypt and relevant regions, and support compliance training and investigations.
• Serve as the primary liaison for external legal consultants and advisory firms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law and admission to the Egyptian Bar Association.
• 6–8 years of legal experience in a multinational corporation or top‑tier law firm.
