Lifeguard – University Aquatic Facility

About the role

The Lifeguard ensures the safety and well‑being of all patrons using the university’s aquatic facilities. Working under the Logistics Manager, Athletics, you will maintain constant surveillance, respond swiftly to emergencies, and support the day‑to‑day operation of the pool area.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain continuous visual monitoring of swimmers and surrounding areas to prevent accidents.
• React immediately to emergencies, applying approved rescue techniques, CPR, and first‑aid until medical services arrive.
• Perform routine pool‑deck maintenance such as arranging chairs, checking rescue equipment, and reporting safety concerns.
• Prepare activity and incident reports, and assist with scheduling and administrative tasks.
• Cover rotating shifts as required to meet operational needs.

Required profile

• University degree (any field).
• Lifesaving and CPR certification from the Egyptian Diving and Lifesaving Federation.
• Minimum four years of relevant experience, including at least two years as a lifeguard.
• Ability to pass a timed 400‑meter swim test and a pre‑employment physical evaluation.
• Basic proficiency in English and strong customer‑service orientation.
