Logistic Specialist – Import & Export Operations

About the role

Simplex is seeking a proactive Logistic Specialist to manage end‑to‑end import and export operations. You will act as the central point of contact for freight forwarders, customs brokers and internal teams, ensuring smooth material flow across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all import and export logistics activities, from booking to delivery.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers and transportation providers.
• Prepare, review and maintain accurate shipping, customs and import/export documentation.
• Monitor delivery schedules, track shipments and resolve logistics issues promptly.
• Ensure timely customs clearance and compliance with local and international regulations.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Warehouse, Planning and Finance to align material flow.
• Track logistics costs and recommend process improvements for efficiency.
• Maintain detailed logistics records and generate regular shipment reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in import & export logistics within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, customs regulations and documentation.
• Hands‑on experience dealing with freight forwarders, shipping lines and customs clearance agents.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Odoo, SAP or Oracle.
