Logistics Manager

About the role

A leading international manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to plan, coordinate and manage the movement of raw materials, finished goods and related resources, ensuring efficient production and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure timely and cost‑effective movement of raw materials, components and finished products.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and oversee procurement processes to maintain inventory levels.
• Monitor and control inventory of raw materials and finished goods to minimize waste and guarantee availability.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation, select carriers, optimise shipping routes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with production teams to align logistics plans with manufacturing schedules.
• Identify and implement cost‑optimization opportunities while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Utilise data‑driven insights to track performance metrics, forecast demand and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Supervise and mentor logistics staff, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Proven experience in logistics or supply chain operations within a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience leading teams in a production setting.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Excel.
