Logistics & Procurement Coordinator

About the role

The Logistics & Procurement Coordinator will support production efficiency by coordinating supply‑chain activities, managing local and imported raw material flows, and overseeing logistics services. The role works closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of materials and services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with raw‑material supply (local and imported) following Imerys corporate procedures.
• Purchase logistics services through local subcontractors, including clearance agencies and internal freight providers.
• Manage all local purchases such as production tools, IBCs, consumables, chemicals, courier and office supplies.
• Monitor governmental fees, ports and energy charges, and ensure accurate documentation for banks and ports.
• Support renewal and creation of local supplier contracts, aiming for better economic, quality and technical conditions.
• Contribute to cost‑saving initiatives by reducing purchasing budgets for clearance, freight, IBCs, consumables and maintenance tools.
• Track purchasing efficiency through regular KPIs and assist in updating purchasing procedures.
• Oversee logistics service providers, including port shipping agents and road transport, to avoid demurrage, product loss and extra costs.
• Define and manage stock levels by material and product, ensuring physical and ERP accuracy.

Required profile

• Experience in logistics and procurement within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with corporate procurement procedures and supplier contract management.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external service providers.
• Strong analytical mindset to monitor KPIs and drive cost‑saving actions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems for stock and purchasing management.
• Knowledge of customs clearance and port logistics processes.
• Ability to negotiate and manage supplier contracts.
