Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to emergencies. This role ensures a safe environment while maintaining confidentiality of all security-related information.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and lock entrances when required.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire‑life safety systems.
• Conduct daily physical hazard inspections and respond to accidents, providing first aid/CPR or contacting EMS.
• Assist guests and employees during emergencies, defuse disturbances, and escort unwelcome persons.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and loss‑prevention activity logs.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
• Maintain confidentiality of security reports and follow all company policies.

Required profile

• Physical stamina to stand, walk or run for extended periods.
• Ability to read and verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Clear, professional communication skills.
• Willingness to comply with safety training, certifications, and uniform standards.
