Management Trainee – Tahseen Hospitality Leadership Program

About the role

The Tahseen program is a 12‑18 month interdisciplinary hospitality leadership development initiative partnered with Cornell University. It is designed to accelerate the growth of local talent in the hotel and tourism sector by providing hands‑on experience across key operational areas.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement accounting tasks, audits, and financial reporting for property operations.
• Analyze operational data, generate reports and presentations, and recommend solutions to improve performance.
• Support property operations by developing and executing strategies aligned with the brand’s business goals.
• Review guest feedback, comment cards, and satisfaction scores to identify improvement opportunities.
• Conduct regular walk‑throughs, ensure preventive maintenance, and verify that all areas meet service standards.
• Collaborate with discipline teams, provide feedback, and monitor compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Assist in budgeting, financial statement analysis, and performance tracking against targets.
• Communicate departmental goals clearly to drive desired results.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales & marketing, or management operations, OR
• Associate degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
