Manufacturing Accountant – Cost & Inventory Focus

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join Clean & More’s finance team in 6th of October City. The role focuses on manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management and financial tracking for our home‑care and detergent production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Record and monitor all financial transactions related to manufacturing operations, including raw material purchases, production costs, factory overheads, and finished goods inventory.
• Track and analyse production costs (direct materials, direct labour, and manufacturing overhead).
• Manage inventory accounting for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.
• Perform monthly inventory reconciliations and cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Review and verify supplier invoices, executing three‑way matching with purchase orders and goods receipt notes.
• Prepare payment requests and follow up on approval workflows.
• Maintain accurate Accounts Payable aging reports and support cash‑flow planning.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of all accounting supporting documents.
• Prepare monthly management reports, including production cost analysis, variance reports, and profitability analysis per product line.
• Verify ledger balances and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing accounting or cost accounting, preferably in FMCG or chemical industry.
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, cost allocation, and production costing methods.
• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Good communication and coordination abilities with production, procurement, and sales teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, financial modelling).
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Solid knowledge of Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS), VAT and Withholding Tax.
