Materials Planning Supervisor

About the role

EGIC is looking for an experienced and detail‑oriented Materials Planning Supervisor to join its Supply Chain team. The role is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of raw materials, components and packaging while maintaining optimal inventory levels and minimizing shortages, excess stock and obsolescence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material requirements plans (MRP) based on production schedules, demand forecasts and inventory parameters.
• Monitor material availability, identify potential shortages and coordinate with Procurement to place and follow‑up purchase orders.
• Maintain safety stock, reorder points, minimum/maximum levels and ensure accurate BOM and material master data in the ERP/MRP system.
• Analyse inventory performance, reduce excess and slow‑moving stock, and generate regular shortage and performance reports.
• Lead and coach the material planning team, assigning tasks, monitoring performance and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in material planning, MRP or supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous supervisory or team‑lead experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and cross‑functional communication skills.
