Mechanical Construction Team Leader (Cairo)

About the role

The Mechanical Construction Team Leader will head a crew of skilled and unskilled workers on a construction site in Cairo. You will ensure that all activities are carried out safely, on schedule, and in line with project drawings and specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and allocate tasks to a diverse workforce to meet daily and weekly targets.
• Verify that work complies with technical drawings, specifications and safety standards.
• Report progress, delays or issues to the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
• Maintain tools, equipment and material usage efficiently and ensure proper maintenance.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce safety procedures.
• Assist in problem‑solving on‑site and adjust work plans as needed.
• Coordinate with other trades (civil, MEP, etc.) to avoid conflicts.
• Uphold discipline, productivity and quality of workmanship.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in construction, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials and site operations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Familiarity with local safety standards and regulations.
