Mechanical Constructions Lead (9-month project)

About the role

The Mechanical Constructions Lead will oversee the end‑to‑end execution of mechanical construction and installation activities for a 9‑month cement plant expansion project in Ain Al‑Sokhna, Egypt. Reporting to the project management team, you will ensure that all works are performed safely, on schedule, and in strict accordance with engineering drawings, technical specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce HSE legislation, company policies and develop risk assessments, safe work instructions and work permits.
• Supervise mechanical erection, installation and commissioning of equipment such as kilns, mills, conveyors, crushers, fans, pumps and piping systems.
• Monitor daily site activities, allocate manpower and track progress against the project schedule.
• Coordinate with project engineers, contractors and vendors to ensure smooth execution.
• Conduct inspections, quality checks and verify contractors’ progress, measurements and payment bills.
• Support testing and commissioning activities and prepare daily/weekly execution reports.
• Authorize material requests from the warehouse for project needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience supervising mechanical construction, installation and commissioning on industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and ability to produce risk assessments and safe work instructions.
• Excellent coordination skills with contractors, vendors and internal engineering teams.
