Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Engineer – Facilities Management

About the role

This full‑time on‑site position is for a Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineer based in Cairo, Egypt. The engineer will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of MEP systems across a range of commercial and industrial facilities, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all MEP works on site and ensure compliance with technical standards and project specifications.
• Perform regular inspections, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain system performance.
• Develop and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programmes for HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and fire‑protection systems.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and maintenance staff to meet project schedules and quality objectives.
• Monitor system performance using BMS, CAFM, or CMMS tools and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in MEP systems with a focus on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Solid experience in facilities management for large commercial or industrial buildings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering.
• Good understanding of HSE standards within facility operations.
• Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance teams and contractors.
