Mechanical Engineer – Beverage Production & Packaging

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to ensure the reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement of high‑speed beverage production and packaging lines. The role focuses on Krones and Sidel equipment, supporting production by minimizing downtime, improving performance and applying preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical systems on Krones and Sidel lines, performing preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
• Diagnose failures using root‑cause analysis, implement permanent corrective actions and monitor MTBF, MTTR and OEE.
• Provide immediate technical support during production breakdowns and coordinate maintenance to limit interruptions.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing and TPM, and participate in equipment upgrades and process optimisation.
• Maintain mechanical documentation, spare‑parts inventories and coordinate with OEMs for major repairs.
• Apply LOTO procedures, support GMP, HACCP and food‑safety requirements, and promote a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with Production, Electrical, Automation and Quality teams, and support operator training on basic maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in beverage, FMCG, food or packaging manufacturing.
• Hands‑on experience with Krones filling, labeling, conveying and packaging equipment.
• Experience with Sidel blow‑molding, filling and packaging systems.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
