Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join AL DAHRA AGRICULTURAL in Toshka. You will be responsible for keeping our farming machinery and mechanical systems running smoothly, supporting the productivity of our agricultural operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment across the agricultural project.
• Troubleshoot faults in pumps, gearboxes, pipelines, valves, generators, center pivots and other rotating equipment.
• Ensure reliable operation of irrigation systems, water pumping stations and related utilities.
• Monitor equipment performance, reduce downtime and prepare maintenance schedules, breakdown reports and spare‑parts requirements.
• Inspect and maintain pipelines, valves, fittings, hydraulic systems and other mechanical components.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with electrical, operations teams and external contractors.
• Support installation and commissioning of new mechanical equipment when required.
• Conduct routine inspections and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and operational issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical Power preferred).
• 2–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in agricultural, irrigation, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Good knowledge of pumps, pipelines, valves, rotating equipment and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with center‑pivot irrigation systems is an advantage.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Valid driving licence.
