Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer ensures reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems and equipment in a plant environment, supporting safe, efficient and cost‑effective production.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical availability and reliability of production lines and utilities equipment.
• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities and conduct root‑cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Provide technical support for blowing, filling, packaging and utilities equipment, reviewing and approving modifications and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with safety, LOTO and permit‑to‑work procedures, and support food‑safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives such as TPM, ManEx, and SLE improvement to reduce downtime and costs.
• Support CAPEX and OPEX planning, project implementation, cost control and KPI reporting.
• Coach mechanical technicians, support training and collaborate with production, utilities, electrical and automation teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1‑3 years of experience in mechanical engineering within FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of blowing, filling, packaging and utilities equipment.
• Experience with OEMs such as KRONES, SIDEL or SIPA is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
