Mechanical Maintenance Section Head

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Section Head will lead the mechanical maintenance team at a manufacturing facility in 10th of Ramadan, Egypt. The role focuses on maintaining equipment reliability, improving asset availability, and ensuring safety while controlling costs.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in setting annual SMART maintenance objectives and evaluating new projects, CAPEX and OPEX.
• Develop and continuously improve maintenance policies, procedures and preventive maintenance plans.
• Review and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Allocate department resources efficiently, set overtime approvals and delegate work to electrical and mechanical personnel.
• Ensure all processes, documentation and work orders are ISO‑compliant.
• Lead root‑cause analysis for major failures and drive corrective actions.
• Manage spare‑parts requirements and perform technical price comparisons.
• Oversee installation, repairs and performance verification of assets.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in an industrial setting.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP reporting systems.
• Strong leadership and team‑development capabilities.
