Medical Buyer

About the role

The Medical Buyer is responsible for managing the end‑to‑end procurement process for medical supplies, ensuring that the organization receives high‑quality products at the best possible price and on schedule. This role works closely with suppliers, finance, and warehouse teams to maintain a smooth supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Receive purchase requests, issue supply orders, and forward them to suppliers.
• Negotiate price quotes, quality standards, and payment terms with suppliers.
• Track orders to guarantee timely delivery.
• Coordinate with warehouse management and relevant departments to prepare receiving locations.
• Generate reports on issued supply orders and monitor timelines.
• Maintain a supplier ledger, verify legality, and match invoices for payment release.
• Work with finance to complete payment processes as defined in contracts.
• Communicate with the warehouse to replace or return items nearing expiry.
• Compile monthly reports of received orders to support purchasing and storage planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 1 to 4 years of experience in medical procurement.
• Strong negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in using computers.
• Capability to create and maintain a supplier database.
