MEP Construction Manager - Cairo (Night Shifts)

About the role

Innovo Group is looking for an MEP Construction Manager in Cairo who will oversee all mechanical and electrical construction activities on site. The role covers planning, coordination, execution and delivery of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, lighting, power distribution and low-current systems, ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget and in line with design specifications, quality standards and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the MEP construction team, including engineers, supervisors and subcontractors, across all project phases.
• Review MEP designs, drawings, specifications and method statements for constructability and accuracy.
• Plan and schedule MEP activities in coordination with civil and architectural disciplines.
• Monitor site progress, manage resources and ensure timely completion of MEP systems.
• Ensure installations comply with local regulations, project requirements and international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, NEC, IEC, SMACNA, etc.).
• Manage procurement of MEP materials and equipment with the procurement team.
• Supervise testing, commissioning and handover of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Identify risks and delays and implement corrective actions.
• Take part in project meetings, liaise with clients, consultants and senior management, and give technical updates.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures and HSE standards are followed on site.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in MEP construction, including at least 5 years in a managerial role on large-scale projects.
• Proven leadership and team management skills and a track record of successful project delivery.
• PMP certification or equivalent professional credentials is an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) and electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, low-current).
• Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, IPC, NEC, IEC).
• Project planning and management tools (Primavera, MS Project) and design software (AutoCAD, Revit preferred).
• Excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving abilities.
