Mid-Level Android Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mid‑Level Android Software Engineer to join MaxAB’s mobile team. You will help build and maintain the Android application that powers our B2B e‑commerce and fintech services for merchants across Egypt and Morocco.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and advise on technical solutions for business and non‑business requirements.
• Conduct code reviews for daily Android tasks and ensure code quality.
• Set up Android release plans, coordinate with other squads and analyse new releases.
• Investigate and resolve production bugs on mobile.
• Plan and execute code‑base refactoring, unit and UI testing strategies.
• Facilitate communication of Android business requirements between the development team and stakeholders.
• Provide regular status updates on Android releases to senior technical management.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience as an Android developer.
• Portfolio demonstrating complex Android projects.
• Strong passion for learning new technologies.
• Hands‑on experience across all stages of the software development lifecycle.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
• Deep knowledge of the Android SDK and Android Studio.
• Experience with unit testing and UI testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with version control and release management processes.
