Migrant Protection Assistant – Direct Assistance

About the role

The Migrant Protection Assistant provides direct assistance to victims of trafficking and vulnerable migrants in Egypt. Working under the Programme Manager Protection and the Senior Programme Associate, the role supports case management, data handling, and coordination of aid for beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with potential victims and vulnerable migrants to collect essential information.
• Coordinate and monitor assistance services delivered to each beneficiary.
• Prepare regular case management reports for individual beneficiaries.
• Enter and maintain beneficiary data in IOM databases, ensuring accurate filing.
• Generate statistics, reports, and analyses to inform program decisions.

Required profile

• Minimum two years (24 months) of relevant experience in protection, humanitarian assistance, or related fields.
• Strong ethical standards and sensitivity to gender and socio‑cultural differences.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Advanced typing skills in English and Arabic.
• Competence in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with data entry and database management.
