MT Channel Development Manager - Modern Trade, Egypt

About the role

This role is responsible for achieving profitable sales growth by creating and executing business plans for the Modern Trade channel in Egypt, including market share gains that contribute to the unit's net sales volume and have potential for significant future growth. It carries full P&L responsibility and focuses on maximizing channel and category performance while optimizing channel revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of short- and long-term strategies for channels and key customers, optimizing profitability and sales revenue.
• Understand customer environments such as trends, competitors and evolving needs to build shopper-centric customer plans.
• Develop accurate, timely forecasts from consumption and shipment perspectives.
• Drive customer-specific solutions on assortment, merchandising, pricing and promotion, and lead customer engagements.
• Collaborate with Customer Marketing on shopper marketing plans and manage new product launches.
• Oversee daily customer activities, manage customer P&L and trade investment, and create the annual grid and calendar for the Modern Trade channel in Egypt.
• Work with the Modern Trade Field Sales Team on weekly field visits.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in FMCG, preferably with distributor management experience.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with peers and direct reports.
• Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
• Analytical thinking skills.
