About the role

The school seeks an enthusiastic Music Teacher for the Primary Stage (Academic Year 26‑27) to deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned music lessons. The successful candidate will nurture creativity, confidence and a lifelong love of music in young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver interactive, age‑appropriate music lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom that encourages creativity and active participation.
• Teach fundamental concepts such as rhythm, melody, singing, listening skills and basic music theory.
• Organise and lead musical activities, performances and school celebrations.
• Use diverse teaching strategies and resources to meet varied learning styles.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Promote teamwork, self‑expression and appreciation of diverse musical cultures.
• Maintain clear communication with parents about student progress.
• Participate in professional development to stay current with educational best practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music, Education or a related field.
• Teaching qualification preferred.
• Experience teaching primary‑stage music within the National Curriculum preferred.
• Strong musical knowledge and ability to engage young learners.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for music education and commitment to student development.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and reference verification.
