Occupational & Work Environment Safety Manager

About the role

The Occupational & Work Environment Safety Manager will ensure that all occupational health, safety, and civil defence standards are fully implemented across the bank’s headquarters and its branch network. This role is responsible for creating a safe, compliant workplace and coordinating emergency preparedness throughout the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement fire safety regulations tailored to each facility’s size and risk profile.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with fire safety and civil defence requirements before and during operations.
• Oversee occupational safety readiness for new and existing bank locations.
• Prepare and execute emergency response plans and lead evacuation drills.
• Supervise maintenance and functionality of fire‑fighting equipment, fire alarms, and safety systems.
• Coordinate with internal departments to address observations from civil‑defence and regulatory bodies.
• Follow up on legal cases or violations related to safety and compliance.
• Maintain an electronic safety database for all facilities and produce quarterly safety reports for senior management.
• Issue internal safety guidelines and security instructions.

Required profile

• Relevant academic qualification in safety, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in security‑related roles such as Armed Forces, Police, Security, or Civil Defence.
• Proven experience with civil‑defence procedures and fire‑safety systems.
