Officer, Government Relations

About the role

The Government and Regulatory Officer will serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries from the Central Bank, police, and courts across the UAE. Working closely with branch managers, unit heads, and internal teams, the officer ensures that all regulatory requirements are met in a risk‑free manner for both customers and non‑customers.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to and resolve queries from the Central Bank, police, and judicial authorities throughout the UAE.
• Support the Division Head and manager in achieving departmental goals.
• Develop, implement, and maintain procedures that satisfy government entity requirements.
• Liaise between Corporate & Institutional Banking Group (CIBG), Retail Banking Group (RBG), Operations, and Head Office to address regulatory issues.
• Coordinate with branch managers and unit heads to ensure consistent compliance across all locations.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of UAE regulatory environment and banking regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with government bodies and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives.
