Online Account Manager – Vendor Relations

About the role

We are seeking an Online Account Manager to lead vendor relationships for local shops on the Talabat platform. You will act as the main point of contact for merchants, ensuring their listings are accurate, promotional activities are effective, and revenue targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular business reviews with vendors to identify growth opportunities and increase revenue, profitability and market share.
• Maintain continuous communication with merchants via phone and email, providing support and resolving operational issues.
• Ensure vendor item lists are up‑to‑date and optimise content such as delivery times, preparation times and menu information.
• Negotiate commission rates and commercial terms, renewing and expanding contracts.
• Drive advertising sales by acquiring product images, branding materials and creating coupons, promotions and vouchers.
• Promote digital tools (Pelican, check‑in features, backlinks, splash pages, white‑label solutions, Facebook button) and encourage adoption of online payment gateways.
• Monitor vendor activity on the platform, troubleshoot shutdowns or delivery interruptions and coordinate resolutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience with a proven track record in negotiation and account management.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to meet deadlines, work flexibly and handle multiple vendor accounts simultaneously.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
