Operations & Network Growth Manager

About the role

The Operations & Network Growth Manager will lead both the expansion of the truck‑owner network and the day‑to‑day execution of transportation operations across Egypt. Reporting to the Head of Business Unit, this senior role combines strategic growth with hands‑on operational control in a fast‑scaling logistics platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute the quarterly truck‑owner acquisition plan, covering market mapping, lead generation, field visits, negotiations, contracting, onboarding and first‑trip activation.
• Develop and refine the value proposition for owners (earnings, load availability, payment cycles, and value‑added services) to drive acquisition and retention.
• Lead geographic expansion into new clusters, securing reliable contracted capacity and managing SMB and individual growth teams.
• Oversee Operations Control functions including load allocation, dispatching, en‑route follow‑up, exception management and capacity planning.
• Ensure on‑time delivery, trip cycle time and truck utilization targets are met, investigating deviations and implementing corrective actions.
• Drive full adoption of the Transportation Management System (TMS) and mobile app by internal teams and truck owners, collaborating with technology to close system gaps.
• Maintain accurate trip documentation, settlements and payments while resolving commercial and operational disputes promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field; postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• 8–12 years of experience in road transportation, trucking or freight brokerage, with at least 3–4 years leading multi‑team structures.
• Proven track record recruiting, contracting and retaining third‑party truck owners at scale.
• Fluent Arabic (essential) and business‑level English (B2).
• Willingness to travel frequently across operating clusters and spend significant time in the field.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Transportation Management System (TMS) or dispatch platforms.
• Proficiency in GPS tracking technologies.
• Advanced Excel and Business Intelligence (BI) reporting skills.
