Overnight Stocking Team Leader

About the role

Join Meijer as an Overnight Stocking Team Leader and oversee daily store operations during prime shopping hours. You will mentor a team, drive sales, and ensure a fast, friendly customer experience while maintaining store standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members across multiple departments.
• Mentor and coach staff to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Handle staffing, hiring, and succession planning.
• Apply disciplinary actions and make discharge recommendations.
• Manage P&L, achieve sales targets, and control shrink.
• Maintain store appearance, product presentation, and safety standards.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in all team interactions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2‑3 years of retail experience.
• At least 1 year of management experience.
• Experience with rotational assignments (meat, bakery, produce, deli, customer service).
• Strong communication, conflict‑resolution, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical data for decision‑making.
• Commitment to safety and reliable attendance.
