Part-time Adjunct Instructor: Chemistry

About the role

Louisiana State University of Alexandria is seeking multiple part‑time adjunct instructors to teach Chemistry in a hybrid, primarily online B.S. program. The position begins in the 2026‑2027 academic year and supports a partnership with LSU Online. Candidates with expertise in inorganic or physical chemistry are especially encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Complete LSU Online training and maintain compliance with accessibility standards.
• Develop, deliver, and continuously improve online Chemistry courses.
• Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours and hold regular virtual office hours.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by department leadership.

Required profile

• Master’s, M.A., or Ph.D. in Chemistry with at least 18 graduate credit hours.
• Two years of experience designing or teaching online courses (preferred).
• ABD candidates considered if the Ph.D. is completed by the hire date.
• Strong background in inorganic or physical chemistry is a priority.
