Payroll Accountant

About the role

TMF Group is seeking a Payroll Accountant to join its global payroll team. You will support a portfolio of clients by preparing payroll data, processing payroll runs, and acting as the primary day‑to‑day contact for client service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Handle payroll operations and deliverables for assigned clients, meeting internal and external deadlines.
• Set up and maintain computerized payroll databases and related records.
• Input client and third‑party data into the payroll system, review, test and reconcile results.
• Assist with statutory filings, reporting and liaison with tax and social‑insurance authorities.
• Ensure compliance with controls, policies, processes and procedures.
• Escalate client or work issues to the manager and respond to queries promptly.
• Support client meetings, prepare work according to procedures and ensure timely receipt of required data.
• Prepare and submit approved returns, submissions, accounts and reports as applicable.
