People Relations Lead

About the role

The People Relations Lead will head all on‑site People Operations and workforce administration at Lafarge Egypt’s Sokhna plant. Acting as the primary People representative, you will ensure a seamless employee experience, uphold health, safety, quality and environmental standards, and manage the subcontracted workforce to keep plant operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce health, safety, quality and environmental legislation and policies on‑site.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employees and plant management on People‑related matters.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, transfers, promotions, exits and People administration.
• Maintain accurate subcontractor records and ensure compliance with company requirements.
• Lead relationship and performance management of subcontracted manpower providers.
• Coordinate workforce mobilization, demobilization, replacements and deployment across all plant functions.
• Review and approve subcontractor workforce plans to match operational needs.
• Monitor workforce utilization, attendance, absenteeism, overtime, productivity and labor costs.
• Analyze workforce trends and implement initiatives to improve efficiency and optimise manpower utilization.
• Validate subcontractor attendance, timesheets and supporting documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in People Operations or HR within an industrial or plant environment.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Demonstrated ability to manage subcontracted workforce and vendor performance.
• Excellent analytical skills for workforce planning and cost optimisation.
• Effective communication and problem‑solving abilities to address employee inquiries.
