People Transportation Lead

About the role

The People Transportation Lead will oversee all aspects of personnel mobility for Holcim US operations in Suez, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant transport services. You will manage fleet performance, contractor relationships, route planning, and health‑and‑safety standards to support continuous production.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce HSE legislation and Holcim safety standards, conduct investigations, and produce monthly safety reports.
• Monitor contractor compliance with technical, legal, and financial requirements, ensuring vehicle lifecycles remain within 3‑5 years.
• Supervise 24/7 shift schedules (08:15 AM / 08:15 PM) and guarantee zero‑delay handovers.
• Audit and map fixed pick‑up points, prohibiting unscheduled stops on high‑speed highways.
• Manage light commercial vehicles (minibuses/microbuses), overseeing maintenance, safety checks, and route optimization.
• Develop and implement H&S improvement plans and track progress against plant HSIP targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transport or fleet operations, preferably in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent analytical skills for route planning, performance monitoring, and incident analysis.
