Planner – EPC Project Controls

About the role

Archirodon, an international EPC contractor active for more than half a century in energy, marine, infrastructure and defence and security projects, is looking for a Planner to join a team of engineers on a project in Cairo, Egypt. The role sits within project controls and works closely with the lead planner and the project team.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in preparing the Contract Baseline Schedule and revised schedules, coordinating with the lead planner and following the guidance of the Planning Manager and the project team.
• Prepare progress update monitoring sheets for each project phase and discipline so that periodic schedule updates can be performed.
• Update periodically the Progress Performance Curves and Key Performance Indicators with the lead planner to monitor project performance.
• Flag deviations from the plan, such as out-of-sequence work, and help implement corrective actions.
• Record daily progress and prepare the site daily report.
• Assist the project controls manager in preparing weekly and monthly reports, budget preparation and maintaining project planning records.
• Carry out cost reporting and monitoring, and perform any other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a recognised university.
• 4 years of experience in a similar position with an EPC construction company.
• Fluency in English.
• Nice to have: previous employment with leading EPC contractors.
• Organised, committed and hardworking, with strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem-solving approach.

Required skills

• Full awareness of Primavera (P6) is a must.
• Microsoft Office.
• General planning process knowledge.
• Report writing and communication skills.
