Planning Team Leader – Claims Expert

About the role
We are seeking a Planning Team Leader with deep expertise in claims management to drive schedule control, delay analysis, and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions across complex construction projects. The role combines strategic planning, forensic schedule analysis, and contract compliance to protect the company's interests.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and update project schedules to ensure accurate progress tracking and contractual compliance.
- Review and provide technical input on baseline, recovery, and revised schedules supporting EOT submissions and dispute resolution.
- Conduct detailed delay and impact analyses, establishing entitlement and substantiating time‑related claims.
- Prepare and manage EOT claims, including all supporting documentation.
- Perform forensic schedule analysis using methodologies such as TIA, Windows Analysis, and As‑Planned vs. As‑Built comparisons.
- Review contracts, specifications, and contractual requirements related to planning and claims.
- Coordinate with project managers, site teams, consultants, and clients on progress and claims matters.
- Generate delay analysis reports, claim narratives, and executive KPI dashboards.
- Mentor and develop planning engineers within the team.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Construction Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project planning and controls.
- At least 5 years of experience preparing and defending delay and EOT claims.
- Experience on infrastructure, building, industrial or EPC projects; substation and power generation experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with FIDIC and other standard forms of contracts.
Required skills
- Project scheduling and control (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Forensic schedule analysis techniques (TIA, Windows Analysis, As‑Planned vs. As‑Built).
- Delay impact analysis and entitlement assessment.
- Extension of Time claim preparation and documentation.
- Contract compliance review, especially FIDIC contracts.
- KPI dashboard creation and executive reporting.
