Policy and Financing Officer

About the role

The Policy and Financing Officer will support the Policy and Partnerships Specialist in advancing UNDP Egypt’s financing agenda for the Sustainable Development Goals. The incumbent will help convene stakeholders across the financing ecosystem, provide analytical input, and co‑design innovative financing tools.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and facilitating policy dialogues and multi‑stakeholder platforms on SDG financing.
• Conduct socio‑economic analysis to inform the design of finance‑driven interventions.
• Support the development of evidence‑based policy recommendations and briefing notes.
• Collaborate with government agencies, bilateral donors, IFIs, private sector and civil society to align financing with national development priorities.
• Contribute to the piloting and monitoring of innovative financing mechanisms.

Required profile

• University degree in economics, public policy, finance or a related field.
• Experience working on development financing, policy analysis or partnership coordination.
• Strong understanding of the SDG framework and financing for development agenda.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
