Power BI Specialist – Remote

About the role

WiiGroup is seeking a Power BI Specialist to design, build, and optimise enterprise‑grade dashboards and reports. You will work closely with business stakeholders to translate data needs into scalable visual solutions that drive data‑driven decision‑making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain interactive Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
• Perform ETL using Power Query (M) and Dataflows Gen2, creating DAX measures for analytics.
• Connect to and transform data from SQL Server, SharePoint, Excel, Microsoft Fabric and other sources.
• Design dimensional (star‑schema) models for high‑performance reporting.
• Diagnose and optimise refresh performance, model size, cardinality and VertiPaq compression.
• Manage deployment pipelines, version control (Git) and workspace administration in Power BI Service.
• Implement Row‑Level Security (RLS) and Object‑Level Security (OLS) following governance standards.
• Collaborate with users to define KPIs, reporting requirements and provide end‑user training.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of hands‑on Power BI development experience.
• Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query (M) and dimensional data modelling.
• Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases.
• Experience with Power BI Service, gateways, deployment pipelines and workspace management.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Preferred certifications: PL‑300, DP‑600 or DP‑700.
