Procurement Category Lead I

About the role

The Procurement Category Lead I is responsible for managing the end‑to‑end sourcing process, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials across the organization. The role works closely with sales, operations, quality, material planning and customer service teams to meet internal demand while driving cost efficiencies.

Key responsibilities

• Research and evaluate potential vendors, compare offers and negotiate contract terms and pricing.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, invoices and update Oracle Fusion system.
• Coordinate with internal departments to fulfill material requisition, sales and transfer orders within defined timelines.
• Analyze pricing fluctuations, prepare cost‑analysis reports and suggest savings opportunities.
• Identify process bottlenecks, implement improvements and support lean inventory management.
• Manage shipments, track orders, and ensure on‑time delivery to customers.
• Participate in trade shows, source new parts suppliers and negotiate customs and shipping arrangements.
• Resolve supplier disputes while preserving long‑term relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory control, supplier relationship management and procurement.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with finance, sales and manufacturing teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in pricing analysis and reporting.
