Procurement Engineer

About the role

The Procurement Engineer will manage the end‑to‑end purchasing process for electrical and automation projects, ensuring materials and equipment are sourced on time, within budget, and to the required technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and review purchase requisitions, verify approvals and completeness.
• Obtain, evaluate and compare quotations from technical and commercial perspectives.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and warranty conditions with suppliers.
• Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to warehouses or project sites.
• Source, qualify and onboard local and international vendors, maintaining an up‑to‑date supplier database.
• Monitor supplier performance, resolve quality issues, returns and replacements.
• Coordinate with project management, technical office, engineering, warehouse and logistics to guarantee material availability.
• Prepare procurement reports, analyse KPIs and identify cost‑saving opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–6 years of procurement experience, preferably in electrical contracting, smart automation, ELV systems or the energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, supply‑chain and tendering processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical datasheets and specifications.
