Procurement Manager – Engineer

About the role

The Procurement Manager – Engineer will lead the sourcing and purchasing activities for construction projects, ensuring the best value and compliance with technical specifications. This senior position reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with the Technical Office and Tender Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Approve procurement plans, supplier selections, and item lists with associated cost codes.
• Validate purchase orders and purchase requests from Operations.
• Manage supplier and subcontractor communications, arrange deliveries, and monitor logistics.
• Review and respond to technical and financial queries in tender documents.
• Provide consultancy on financial offers, contractual issues, and material data sheets.
• Supervise rate negotiations, conduct price analysis, and keep subcontractor rates below client BOQ rates.
• Evaluate proposals, quotations, and RFPs that differ from original tender studies.
• Maintain accurate logs of incoming and outgoing items, ensuring alignment with purchase orders and reporting deviations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; MBA is a plus.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in procurement within the finishing & fit‑out sector.
• Proven track record in managing large‑scale construction procurement.
