Procurement Section Head – Spare Parts & MRO

About the role

The Procurement Section Head will lead all procurement activities for spare parts, maintenance materials, and other MRO items to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations at Kgroup’s Obour City facility.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve purchase requisitions from Maintenance, Production, Engineering and other departments.
• Source qualified local and international suppliers, obtain quotations, conduct commercial evaluations and negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Prepare, review and issue purchase orders in line with company policies and approval authorities.
• Monitor the end‑to‑end procurement cycle, ensuring timely receipt of materials and minimizing production downtime.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, expand the vendor base and reduce supply risks.
• Optimize procurement costs through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations and value engineering while maintaining quality standards.
• Coordinate closely with Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Warehouse, Finance and Quality teams.
• Track supplier performance using KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Manage procurement documentation, contracts and purchasing records within the ERP system.
• Lead, coach and develop the procurement team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 5–7 years of procurement experience, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience managing MRO and spare‑parts procurement.
• Strong leadership and team‑development skills.
