Production Planning Section Head

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Production Planning Section Head to lead our planning function, ensure smooth manufacturing operations, and guarantee timely delivery of products to customers. The role involves creating robust production schedules, coordinating cross‑functional teams, and driving continuous improvement in planning processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage production plans based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and operational capacity.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure timely execution to meet customer demand.
• Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to secure material availability.
• Analyze capacity, bottlenecks, and resource utilization to improve efficiency.
• Track KPIs related to planning, inventory accuracy, and service levels.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess stock and shortages.
• Prepare and present production and planning reports to management.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives within planning and production processes.
• Supervise and mentor the production planning team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, or supply‑chain operations.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of MRP systems.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in production planning methodologies.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with reporting tools.
