Production Section Head

About the role

Intertrade Co. is seeking a Production Section Head to own and lead the Gasket and Magnet Strip production sections. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be fully accountable for people, processes, and performance across both product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop supervisors, technicians and operators in both sections.
• Set performance objectives, conduct appraisals and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Plan shifts, allocate resources and coordinate production scheduling with the Planning team.
• Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), enforce first‑production approval and minimize downtime through maintenance coordination.
• Drive change management (4M), update FMEAs, SOPs, process flow charts and control plans.
• Create and maintain Value Stream Maps, identify waste and support improvements with statistical data.
• Oversee feasibility assessments for new projects, ensuring capacity, manpower and equipment adequacy.
• Collaborate with Quality Control to reduce defects, scrap and rework, and ensure ISO 9001:2015 compliance.
• Lead corrective‑action processes using 8D, Fishbone and 5‑Why methods.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing production teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and audit readiness.
• Demonstrated ability to implement Lean, Kaizen, 5S and Six Sigma improvement initiatives.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills using FMEA, 8D, Fishbone and 5‑Why analyses.
