Production Section Head

About the role

The Production Section Head will lead daily production operations for a global industrial manufacturer of advanced insulation materials. This role ensures that production targets, quality standards and safety requirements are consistently met while driving efficiency, productivity and continuous improvement across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet schedules and targets.
• Monitor processes, identify improvement opportunities and optimise productivity and quality.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications and health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Allocate tasks, monitor performance and coach production staff.
• Manage machine utilisation and work with maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Prepare and review daily production reports covering output, efficiency and operational issues.
• Investigate delays, quality problems and operational challenges, implementing corrective actions.
• Coordinate with quality, warehouse, planning and maintenance teams for smooth operations.
• Monitor material consumption and reduce waste.
• Participate in workforce planning, shift scheduling and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in production, manufacturing or operations, including at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems (preferred).
