Production Team Leader

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Production Team Leader to drive efficiency, quality and on‑time delivery across our manufacturing operations. You will lead a production team, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and champion continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules, allocating resources to meet plan targets.
• Create, update and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all manufacturing steps.
• Implement in‑station process control systems and analyse performance data to identify bottlenecks.
• Monitor execution of the production plan and generate daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Prepare and report production KPIs on a regular basis.
• Lead lean manufacturing projects, applying Six Sigma, 5S, TPM, VSM and Kaizen tools.
• Conduct technical on‑the‑job training and quality‑school sessions.
• Produce technical reports and cost calculations for service and maintenance orders.
• Support the maintenance team in establishing routine maintenance and TPM procedures.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, HSE policies and Hitachi Energy’s core values.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5‑8 years of experience in power‑product manufacturing, preferably in distribution transformer production.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, maintenance practices and safety regulations.
• Proven leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Solid understanding of technical design and drawings.
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
