Project Coordinator – Youth Inclusion and Employment

About the role

Plan International is seeking a Project Coordinator to lead its Youth Inclusion and Employment programme in Egypt. The role oversees the design, implementation and monitoring of activities that promote gender‑transformative outcomes and youth participation, ensuring high‑quality results for beneficiaries and donors.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate project implementation across multiple governorates, engaging stakeholders and partners to achieve quality targets.
• Integrate gender equality and youth inclusion principles into all activities and reporting.
• Strengthen community participation and ownership throughout the project cycle.
• Develop and manage work plans, budgets and financial reporting in line with organisational and donor requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Plan International policies, child and youth safeguarding standards, and donor regulations.
• Lead and supervise field implementation teams, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Prepare donor deliverables, progress reports and impact assessments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project management within development or humanitarian contexts.
• Strong problem‑solving, organisational and communication abilities.
• High degree of maturity, flexibility and strategic thinking to operate in dynamic environments.
• Commitment to gender‑transformative programming and safeguarding of children and youth.
