Public Relations Specialist

About the role

The Public Relations Specialist will be based in Alexandria and will lead WAJJAD’s external communication efforts. You will craft press materials, manage media relationships, and ensure the company’s brand is consistently represented across all channels.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, edit and distribute press releases and media kits.
• Coordinate interview requests and act as the primary liaison with journalists and media outlets.
• Monitor media coverage and maintain a database of press mentions.
• Develop and execute strategic communication plans aligned with business objectives.
• Support crisis communication initiatives and prepare timely responses.
• Organize and promote corporate events, webinars and other public-facing activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align messaging and branding.
• Track PR performance metrics, prepare campaign reports and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Strong public relations and media‑relations experience, preferably in technology or B2B environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with PR tools, social media platforms and basic analytics for monitoring media performance.
