Purchase Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a results‑driven Purchase Specialist with at least five years of experience to join our procurement team in 10th of Ramadan. The role focuses on sourcing, negotiating and managing the supply of raw materials, finished goods and services, primarily for the textile and apparel sector.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials, fabrics, accessories and related services in line with company standards and budgets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors and manufacturers, especially within the textile supply chain.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules to achieve optimal value.
• Evaluate supplier performance using KPIs, quality checks and regular audits.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and production teams to avoid shortages or overstock.
• Analyze market trends and pricing fluctuations in textile commodities to inform purchasing decisions.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
• Collaborate with finance on budget planning and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Identify and onboard alternative suppliers to reduce supply‑chain risk.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and generate periodic management reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in purchase management, including handling purchase orders and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing processes and ability to follow and improve standard procedures.
• Experience in garments, textiles or manufacturing procurement is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP or other procurement systems.
• Strong analytical abilities to compare supplier offers and support data‑driven decisions.
