Purchasing & Logistics Executive

About the role

The Purchasing & Logistics Executive will lead procurement and logistics activities for HVD Egypt, ensuring cost‑effective sourcing, timely delivery, and full regulatory compliance. This position works closely with internal teams and external partners to keep supply chains reliable and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement with pre‑approved vendors, place and monitor purchase orders.
• Evaluate supplier performance, financial stability and delivery reliability.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing to achieve cost savings.
• Oversee logistics operations, including import clearance (EDA) and coordination with warehouse staff.
• Track shipments, resolve delays, and ensure proper packaging.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, customs and bank documents.
• Provide updates to Accounting for financial reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with government bodies and logistics providers for overseas purchases.
• Implement internal controls and conduct regular procurement audits.
• Collaborate with departments to gather order requirements and align procurement.
• Support the Purchasing Manager with reporting, stock updates and strategic decisions.
• Train and mentor junior staff on procurement and logistics processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics or supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing cycles, supplier management and import clearance (EDA).
• Excellent negotiation, planning, analytical and cross‑functional communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
