Purchasing Specialist – Cosmeceutical Industry

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Purchasing Specialist to manage the end‑to‑end procurement process for a cosmeceutical company. The role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely delivery of materials while supporting the planning and finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new suppliers for required materials and items.
• Review purchase requests from the Planning Department, assessing lead times, quantities, delivery dates and inventory levels.
• Convert approved requests into purchase orders, adhering to defined KPIs.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to meet or improve benchmark costs.
• Issue purchase orders with approved quantities, pricing and delivery schedules.
• Follow up with suppliers to guarantee timely and accurate deliveries.
• Coordinate with the Budget Control Department to verify purchasing budgets and approvals.
• Act as an on‑ground buyer for urgent or ad‑hoc procurement needs, including loyalty and promotional items.
• Liaise directly with local suppliers and manage cash advances for approved purchases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum two years of experience in a buyer or procurement role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or FMCG sector.
• Strong understanding of the full purchasing cycle, supplier sourcing and cost negotiation.
• Excellent communication, analytical and organizational abilities.
• High level of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Immediate availability is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Odoo or SAP.
