QA & Testing Automation Specialist

About the role

Advansys is looking for a QA & Testing Automation Specialist to ensure the quality of software applications through a combination of manual and automated testing. The role works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain test cases, test scenarios and test plans
• Execute functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using the Selenium framework
• Perform REST API testing and validate API functionality
• Manage test cases, defects and testing activities in Jira
• Work with Development, Business, Operations and Design teams to ensure complete QA coverage
• Take part in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives
• Report, track and verify defects until resolution
• Contribute to improving QA processes, automation frameworks and testing best practices

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation
• Strong experience designing and developing test cases and performing functional testing
• Good understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Agile methodologies

Required skills

• Selenium automation framework
• REST API testing
• Jira or other test management tools
• Nice to have: performance testing and database testing experience
